ACCOMMODATION
Born-2 in based in Cannes on the Frence Riviera,and all accommodation is based (unless stated) in self catering aparments in central Cannes close to all the shops, restaurants and beaches.
We able to supply studios, 1 bed, 2 bed and 3 bed apartments to suite your group size up to 16 people in 2 apartments in the same building.
You are able to build your holiday as you wish choosing to stay for as long as you like, prices start from £300 for the weekend in a 1 bed apartment sleeping up to 4 people, please contact us for further details and prices based on your group size and travel dates.

MOUNTAIN SPORTS

Itinerary:
Friday: Collection from Nice international Airport and transport to your accommodation in Cannes
Saturday: Travel up to the mountains (approx 1hr30mins) for an action packed day of White Water sports. You will spend half the day canyoning down the beautiful rivers and waterfalls of the river Roya followed by a 6km Kayak Raft course.
Sunday: Free day to spend at your leisure. Optional trips can be organised.
Monday: Return transfers to Nice Airport.

SEA & MOUNTAINS
Saturday: Travel to the world famous Cap d'Antibes (approx 20mins) and enjoy an introduction to scuba including expert tuition and equipment hire.
Sunday: We go high up into the Alps for a 6km White Water Kayak Run including a 10m Canyoning jump for those who dare!

Staying in self catering accommodation in Cannes you will experience the Med both over and under the surface!
Sunday: An afternoon at sea! pick up from the port in Cannes we will travel over to the Lerin islands with a chance to anchor down for a swim before moving on to circle the Cap d'Antibes and see the houses of the rich and famous.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Mercantour Mountain Biking
Travel up into the beautiful Roya Valley for an unforgettable 2 days biking accompanied by a professional guide to show you the way down! Cycling on the boarder of Italy you will come down through some of the most stunning scenery around.
Day 1: Pick up from Nice airport and trasfered to your hotel for an overnight stop.
Day 2: Transfer from your hotel high up into the Mercantour mountain range ready for the start of your descent from th Col de Tende.
Day 3: Starting early in the morning carry on your descent over looking the Mediterranean and mountain summits. Following the mountain ridge getting closer to the sea before arriving in Ventimiglia (Italy) for a swim in the Med! Transfer back to your hotel.
Day 4: Transfer from your hotel to Nice Airport.
Bring your own bike or rent top quality bikes and all the safety gear you need on site.
Price includes. All transfers, 2 nights hotel accommodation, Pro Guides, Tent accommodation on day 2 inc food.

PETROLHEADS
Staying in self catering accommodation in Cannes you will experience two days of petrol fueld activities.
Saturday: Collection from your accommodation in Cannes we will travel to the best go kart track on the Cote d'Azur for 5 x 10min sesions of racing. (larger groups can opt for a grand prix format)
Sunday: Travel up into the amazing scenery of provence for an afternoon of quad bike fun in the grounds of a working vinyard (optional wine tasting course available!)

D/H MOUNTAIN BIKING
Downhill Mountain Biking Weekend. from £250 per person
Travel up into the Alps above Nice, at 1200m is the summer and winter resort of Roubion, from mid May the ski lifts open for the summer, adapted to take you and your bike to the top of the runs ready for some awesome downhill riding.
Your half board chalet accommodation is situated directly opposite the ski lift so you have easy access to the runs.
Itinerary: Friday, collection from Nice airport and transfered to your accommodation in Roubion. Saturday and Sunday enjoy the slopes! Sunday afternoon, collection from Roubion and transfered to Nice airport, please note transfer time is approx 1.5hrs.
Price includes. All transfers, Friday and Saturday nights half board chalet accommodation next to the slopes.
Extras. Bike hire and protection available for £40.00pp per day. Lift pass €12.00per day
An additional nights accommodation can be arranged in Nice if needed.

HIKING
It's a real trek! Through the Valley of Wonders to the beaches of Menton on the Mediterranean coast all combined in to 7 days of walking. Alpine landscapes with olive groves and breath taking scenery you will encounter nature at it's best.
This hike is accessible to all with a reasonable level of fittness, carrying only a small rucksack during the day and meeting up with your luggage each evening.
Day 1
Meeting at the start of your hike you will be transfered by mini-bus to Casterino to begin your adventure.
First steps, climb to the refuge at Fontanalba. Discover an archaeological site of Wonders (engravings from the Bronze Age). Green landscape of a valley glacier, mountain lakes and polished rocks.
Time: 3 pm Vertical drop: 700 m
Overnight: Refuge Fontanalbe (dormitory)
Day 2
Climb to the base of Fontanalba. Visit the archaeological site of Bego (engravings from the Bronze Age). Then descending into the valley of the Mining and shelter (building of old mines). Varied: mineral, forest and alpine larch. Abundant wildlife. Cultural and historic rock carvings.
Time: 8 pm Vertical drop: 650 m
Overnight: Snow Cottage (rooms from 2 to 5 beds)
Day 3
Crossing under the peaks of the Nauque in forests of alder and laburnum. Desend in to the most beautiful villages of the Roya valley, small houses with stone-tiled roofs. In a village with only 25 inhabitants.Then carry on down in to the village Saorge, a medieval villages perched on the hillside.
Time: 4 pm Vertical drop: 200 m
Overnight: cottage Bergiron to Saorge
Day 4
Follow the path valléen Saorge to Breil. With veiws of the Mediterranean landscape and the olive groves. Some of the best views over the Roya valley.
Time: 5 pm Vertical drop: 850 m
Overnight: Guesthouse or hotel in Breil / Roya
Day 5
Explore the trails of the shepherds of the Roya valley. Visit the hamlets around Breil.
Time: 6 pm Vertical drop: 800 m
Day 6
Head towards the sea following the path through the village of Piene Haute before reaching Sospel just above Menton. Enjoy the paths through the hills to the Mediterranean taking in the scents of thyme, olive and pastel colors.
Time: 7 pm Vertical drop: 500 m
Overnight: tent camp on the farm Sospel hostel or hotel based on availability.
Day 7
Last climb to the Col du Razet and down through the GR 52 towards the sea and Menton. The trail winds among trees and sumac with the backdrop of the Mediterranean.
Time: 6 pm Vertical drop: 700 m
End of the adventure ...

SNOW SHOE
Spend 3 days snow shoe hiking in the beautiful Mercantour mountain range, only an hour and a half from Nice airport the change of scenery is breathtaking, this holiday can be combined with a 3 night stay in Cannes to give a twin centre break.
Details of your stay
Day 1 (500 m elevation change)
Discover the Plateau Casterino to the Val Masque (valley of the witch ...). Ascending to the Frog Lake, observing chamois in the valley of Fontanalbe.
Accommodation in the valley.
Day 2 (700 m vertical drop. 4 to 5 hours walk)
Set off on the hike for the Lac des Mesches (Casterino) up through the Vallon de la Miniere passing by a beautiful larch forest. Soon the landscape changes, the valley of Hell is coming and the scenery becoming more Alpine. At 2000 m along the Lakes of Wonders we arrive at the shelter, at the foot of Mount Bego (2878 m).
Accommodation refuge in Wonderland (2100 m). Overnight, dinner, picnic for the next day.
Day 3 (500m vertical rise. 4 to 6 hours walking)
Set out for a snowshoe hike of exceptional beauty in the Valley of Wonders and discover the Mercantour National Park. View over the high altitude lakes of Fourcas and Treme along with the mountain animals. Returning to lake Mesches in the afternoon.
Difficulty: Hiking by day at a moderate pace.
You will be need a small backpack (approx 20 ltrs) to carry your personal belongings for the day and picnic. Luggage is transported to the overnight stop by car.
Weather: sunny but cold mornings.
Accommodation: full board in hotels, bed and shelter.

Hat, goggles/sunglasses, sunscreen, warm underwear (polypropylene recommended or equivalent), polar or wool sweater, ski jacket and trousers or mountain parka, hiking boots, thick socks, gaiters (recommended) gloves, backpack (20 ltr min), flasks (1.5 ltr min).

RYA JET SKI
This is a safety course for candidates wishing to operate P.W.C. (personal water craft). It prepares them and makes them aware of the dangers of such craft and how to handle them in a safe manner. This is now a compulsory licence to hold if operating such craft in European waters.
On completion of this course you will be presented an RYA Jet Ski licence allowing you to pilot a Jet Ski in european waters.
Age Restrictions - The minimum age is 12 years. Under 16s will be issued with an endorsed certificate

RYA POWERBOAT
Born-2 has it's own RIB for tuition, based in Juan les Pins a few minutes down the coast from Cannes, lesson take place in port Gallice and round the beautiful Cap d'Antibes.
Powerboat Level 1 Course. £295.00 Per Person. Please contact us for accommodation prices.
This course provides a practical introduction to boat handling and safety in powerboats.
8-16 year olds will have a special endorsement stating that the holder will be accompanied by an adult at all times while operating the boat

The driving licence for the sea! The aim of this course is to teach candidates safe boat handling and seamanship in powerboats. 75% of this course is practical and hands on with 25% class room orientated.
EXPERIENCE NEEDED: None, this is suitable for beginners and those with experience looking for formal training.
COURSE CONTENT: Picking up a mooring, turning in a confined space, anchoring, coming alongside pontoons, man overboard procedures, high speed manoeuvring, towing, basic passage planning, chart work and safety kit.
Duration: 2 Days.

SCUBA
Learn to dive instructed by fully qualified PADI instructors, from fun dives to open water courses you can learn to dive in the cristal clear, warm waters of the Med. All our Prices include self catering accommodation in central Cannes, Airport transfers and transfers to the dive centre.
PADI Scuba Diver Course. From £395 per person, including course fees and 3 Nights accommodation.
A perfect introduction to scuba diving is the 2 day entry level PADI qualification called Scuba Diver which is roughly 1/2 to 2/3rds of the well known Open Water Diver course. A maximum of 4 people per instructor is permitted.
Training Course
Saturday and Sunday course by highly qualified instructors.
Theory session ( you will have to read and complete the three knowledge reviews in a manual that we can arrange to be delivered to you before you arrive, this gets reviewed, discussed, explained etc with the instructor)

PADI Open Water Diver is the most recognized diver qualification in the world. An excellent and comprehensive course, our goal is that when you have finished the course you will be a competent, confident, safe and above all happy diver.
4 Days training by highly qualified instructors.
We highly recommend choosing the new PADI eLearning scheme. This enables you to complete the theory online before arriving to complete your course with us and permits interaction between you and your instructor. It is highly recommended that you complete the theory prior to arrival to maximize what you get out of the course. More details on request.

Ski Holidays
ISOLA 2000
Situated in the Mercantour area of the Alpes Maritimes department in the Southern Alps, the resort of Isola 2000 offers some of the sunniest skiing in Europe and benefits from 120kms (served by 24 lifts) of relatively quite piste runs due to the absence of the major UK ski operators.
Open from December until late-April, the resort itself is at 2000m, so skiing or boarding back to the resort is usually possible and with pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding is assured throughout the season! Isola 2000 is a modern resort with a great snow record and an excellent lift system.
The resort has over 120km of piste, consisting of two main ski areas. There are 7 green runs, 21 blue runs, 11 red runs, and 4 black runs. The resort is considered by ski guides to be well suited for families, beginner and intermediate level skiers.
At 2000m, the resort is one of the highest in the Alps. This, with a favourable micro-climate, ensures fairly reliable snow cover, and in December 2007, Isola 2000 was the resort with the most snow cover in France. However, when required, there are over 210 snow cannons to guarantee skiable conditions
The resort also has a snow park, including jumps, rails and a half-pipe, 3km of cross-country ski piste and downhill racing facilities.

Isola 2000 is a ski resort in the southern French Alps. It is located on the territory of the commune of Isola, Alpes-Maritimes. It is one of the Stations du Mercantour, along with Auron and St. Dalmas, and is operated by the council of the Alpes-Maritimes.
It is located next to the Mercantour National Park, and is about 90km from Nice, Transfer time from Nice International Airport is only 1hr 30mins.
STUDIO APARTMENT
Perfectly situated on the edge of the slopes it's possible to ski to and from the door, this studio will sleep 4 comfortably and up to 5 if needed with a combination of 2 bunks, 1 single and a clic clac for 2 people.
This small but well appointed Studio (30sq.m) is just a short walk to the piste and funicular.
The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge, microwave and electric hot plate. A bathroom comprising of a full bath with overhead shower, hand basin and separate toilet, with underfloor heating throughout.
The apartment also benefits from a surprising amount of storage space and a south facing balcony which can be used to store skis/boards etc.

ISOLA CHALET
Chalet le Cachemire is one of the most luxurious and well positioned chalets available for rental in Isola 2000, a real home from home. It is a modern architecturally designed chalet with its own private access, set in a half acre site, right on the beginners piste of the Belvedere in the centre of the resort. The chalet is built entirely of wood and has a cosy intimate atmosphere. Furnished with large comfy sofas, it can accommodate comfortably 12 people in 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with plenty of hot water (600 litre tank) and a very effective heating system.
The entrance to the chalet is at the back, there is a ski room and a large wardrobe as well as a cloakroom and lavatory. You then enter a small hall before coming into the main living area.The sitting/dining room is spacious (45m2). The sense of space is further amplified by the cathedral ceiling and a table that easily seats 12. There is an open fire place and large soft comfy sofa to sink into and admire the view of the mountains.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large refrigerator, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. There is an electric hob, a combined microwave/conventional oven as well as a traditional oven. There is the usual toaster and coffee machine as well as an espresso machine. If you want to cook your own traditional alpine recipes there are raclette machines and fondue sets. The chalet is fully equipped with two televisions, video, DVD and Hi-Fi.
Outside, opposite the beginners piste of the Belvedere, is 100m2 of terrace decking made more intimate by a balustrade (as the chalet is right on the piste) and outdoor furniture. In the winter and spring skiing really is on your doorstep and you can always get back to the chalet as the Belvedere is the last ski run to shut.
